Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring for a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas across client sites. The role requires flexibility to adapt to different duties per client specifications.

Responsibilities include floor cleaning, restroom upkeep, trash disposal, window cleaning, carpet care, and replenishment of supplies. On-the-job training is provided, and prior janitorial experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 6 months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Must be able to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and objects.
• Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances.
• Empty trash and manage disposal; operate compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist in extraction and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule and routines.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and backpack vacuums.
