Job summary

Chromalox, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the day shift to keep engines, motors, conveyors and production equipment running smoothly. You will diagnose issues using hand and power tools, precision instruments, and manuals, repairing and replacing parts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of related maintenance experience or training.
• Thorough knowledge of general shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Observe and diagnose machine malfunction and determine the need for adjustment or repair.
• Dismantle machines to inspect parts for defects or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
• Replace or repair parts and machine components using metal stock and machine tools.
• Test malfunctioning machinery with test equipment and discuss issues with maintenance staff.
• Adjust devices and control instruments using tools, multimeter, gauges, and levels.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled (TPM).
• Conduct tests and inspections to evaluate equipment performance.
• Take corrective action during emergencies such as power or equipment failures.
• Assist with or direct plant/layout changes and maintain facility equipment in safe repair state.
• Inspect safety equipment and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
