Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation and delivery for patients, staff and visitors. You will work with one or more cooks in daily operations, ensuring quality, safety and timely service.

The role requires a High School diploma and offers opportunities for educational assistance, with weekend and night differentials as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate required.
• 1 year experience in food service preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform detailed assignments, follow directions, work under pressure, and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and delivery of meals to patients, staff, physicians, visitors and catering.
• Support daily operations of the department with cooks, ensuring sanitation and food safety.
• Prepare entrees, soups, hot foods and baked goods for all service points.
• Maintain general departmental sanitation and compliance with standards.
