Job summary

Care Initiatives seeks a compassionate Cook to support nutrition and dining services across its Iowa facilities. This part-time evening position offers every-other-weekend shifts and a chance to impact residents' daily experiences through well-prepared meals.

You will contribute to menu planning, prepare meals meeting dietary guidelines, and engage with residents to ensure a dignified, enjoyable dining experience while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete Food Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets training.
• Healthcare dietary experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in menu planning and meal preparation according to nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
• Prepare and serve meals to ensure dignity, comfort and satisfaction.
• Maintain nutritious, well-balanced meals presented attractively per dietary standards.
• Build positive relationships with residents and incorporate feedback into meals.
