Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a compassionate hospice aide to provide essential in-home care for patients. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping under the direction of a registered nurse.

This full-time role follows a Monday through Friday schedule with potential for growth within a nationwide home health and hospice provider. Applicants should hold a valid CNA certification, CPR, and a driver’s license, with recent CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience as CNA within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers and positioning.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
