Heidelberg Materials in Chico, TX is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator for the day shift (4 AM - 4 PM) to haul aggregates. You will transport materials, perform pre-start inspections, and adhere to safety protocols while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

You must safely operate heavy mobile equipment, communicate with dispatch, and support production goals with a strong safety mindset and dependable work ethic.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate off-road haul trucks to safely and efficiently transport aggregate materials throughout the quarry.
• Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow established safety procedures, traffic patterns, and operating guidelines at all times.
• Support production goals by transporting materials to designated loading, dumping, and processing areas.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and team members to maintain efficient operations.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to comply with all company safety requirements.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Physical Demands

• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access equipment platforms; enter and exit haul unit multiple times throughout the shift.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods while operating and inspecting equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment components weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual awareness.
