PRL Industries, Inc. in Lebanon, PA is seeking a skilled grinder to work on grind castings, forgings, and weldments, following written and verbal procedures to achieve precise finish work.

The role is on-site and involves reading blueprints, safety adherence, and operating related equipment. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with competitive benefits incl. medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA/HSA, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Some related work experience in an industrial, mechanical, welding or machining environment is desirable.
• An appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate handheld grinders weighing from 3 lbs. to 16 lbs.
• Remove metal using a variety of abrasive wheels while standing for long periods.
• Ensures parts are finish ground according to established specifications and expectations, re-positions castings/parts as needed to accomplish this, following verbal and written instructions.
• Has the physical dexterity to grind in various positions, including outside and inside castings and fabrications.
• Must be able to wear a respirator when required.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, sketches, and blueprints.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hand trucks, floor or hanging scales, and banding equipment.
• Verify document information matches parts.
• Record information in accordance with instructions.
• Serialize parts using a vibro-tool or stamping with a hammer and steel stamps.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

We’re excited to offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this role. The bonus is paid in three installments: $1,000 with your first full paycheck, $1,000 after three months, and $1,000 after one year of employment.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and the ability to read/write in English.
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

Physical and Mental Efforts

General: Extensive mobility required, some moderate to heavy lifting. Position requires the ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds occasionally; walk and stand for long durations; see objects closely; and hear normal sounds with some background noises. The position requires the ability to concentrate with some interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.
