Job summary

Simon & Schuster, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver to support Value-Added Services in a fast-paced distribution center in Riverside, NJ.

You will move, replenish, and retrieve inventory using RF devices and multiple forklift types including Drexel, Turret, Order Selector, and Long John equipment. You will help ensure accuracy by verifying product, quantity, and storage locations, while adhering to safety rules and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience using RF devices in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
• Flexibility to work in different areas of the facility and perform a variety of assignments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform the physical requirements of the position throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Use an RF device to process VAS inventory moves, replenishments, and put-away tasks.
• Safely operate Drexel, Turret, Order Selector, and Long John equipment.
• Pick and move full pallets accurately according to labels and system instructions.
• Transport merchandise to designated locations within the facility.
• Verify product, quantity, and storage location to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow all equipment safety rules, warehouse procedures, and company policies.
• Assist in other departments or work areas based on operational needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department workload.
