Zusammenfassung

Greater Chicago Food Depository in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Custodian to perform interior custodial duties, waste management, and groundskeeping across the facility. The role requires physical stamina, forklift operation capability, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.

Shifts are day-based, Tuesday through Friday 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Ability to operate forklift.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing 6–8 hours.
• Knowledge of facilities housekeeping practices.
• Ability to work in elevated and confined freezer/refrigerator environments.
• Excellent communication skills.

Aufgaben

• General office cleaning, floor and carpet care, and restroom/kitchen cleanup.
• General warehouse housekeeping and cleanup; assist with equipment maintenance.
• Assist with snow and ice removal and parking lot/sidewalk clearance.
• Move waste and produce to disposal areas; assist with waste hauling.
• Operate and maintain cardboard bailers and trash; oversee warehouse cleanliness.
