Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor for a full-time daytime shift (8am-4pm). The role involves general cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas within client sites, with weekly pay at $12 per hour.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and offers on-the-job training. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas, following chemical usage procedures, and replenishing supplies while adhering to the client’s specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 6 months janitorial experience.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpacks vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs
