Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a reliable Janitor to perform cleaning and preservation tasks inside a building or across client sites. The role requires flexibility to follow client specifications and maintain high cleanliness standards.

The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with a starting wage of $12 per hour and a 35-hour weekly schedule (Mon–Sun, 6a–11a). Diversified Maintenance is an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming diverse applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (or six months janitorial experience).
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming).
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances.
• Empty trash cans; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned per scope of work or customer needs.
