Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care within the California Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.

The RN coordinates care with other providers, educates patients and families, and participates in the nursing process from assessment through evaluation. CA RN licensure and BLS are required, with ICU and Emergency Department experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of one-year prior acute care ICU Registered Nurse experience.
• Minimum of one-year prior Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience.
• Current CA R.N. License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Relevant departmental certification as required (see addendum).

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by collecting data and documenting findings.
• Develops and evaluates care plans and coordinates care with other providers.
• Educates patient and family to manage care and prevent complications.
• Teaches self-care and illness prevention.
• Maintains patient safety and adheres to hospital policies and standards.
