Job summary

Caravan Facilities Management L.L.C. is seeking a Day Janitor in Smyrna, TN to maintain clean and orderly premises. The role reports to the Janitorial Supervisor and is non-exempt, full-time.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, floors, windows, and common areas, replenishing supplies, and assisting with setup tasks as needed. The position requires reliability and attention to safety, with exposure to varied physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow if required in contract for site.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
• May set up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.
