Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of the interior spaces across client sites. The role requires flexibility to perform duties per client specifications and to maintain high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 6 months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets and assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned by scope of work or customer needs.
