Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor. The Janitor will perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas across client sites, adapting tasks to each site’s specifications while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

The position offers work from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday through Sunday for a total of 35 hours weekly, with a pay of $16 per hour. Join a welcoming team and grow with a leader in commercial cleaning and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or up to 6 months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs
