Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Springdale, Ohio is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role emphasizes safe, efficient janitorial work and following daily schedules.

You will operate motorized cleaning equipment, handle hazardous waste duties as required, report safety concerns, and cooperate with supervisors and colleagues. The position is Monday through Friday, with daytime hours and a starting pay in the listed range.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus;Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents;Strong verbal and written communication skills;Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment;Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment;Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
