Job summary

SBM Management Services in the United States is seeking a Custodial Lead to oversee cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas and provide direction to custodial staff.

You will supervise daily tasks, assist scheduling and training, and ensure safety and quality inspections are conducted. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, with certifications such as CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year related custodial experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification; valid driver’s license may be required.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Track and maintain supply inventory.
• Assist in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor.
• Monitor PPE usage and ensure proper use.
• Identify at-risk behaviors and report for corrective action.
• Travel to various work locations as needed.
• Offer recommendations for area improvements.
