Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ, is seeking a full-time day-shift Certified Surgical Technician to join our surgical team.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCC certification required.
• Annual 15 hours CE to remain qualified as a surgical technologist in NJ.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures sterile supplies and equipment are available for the surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator.
• Adheres to Hospital, State, and departmental policies.
