Job summary

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of CNC experience, strong measurement skills with micrometers/calipers, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ prior experience machining precision products and tools on a CNC machine (set-up AND operation)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable and predictable attendance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
• Proficiency using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges
• Basic understanding of machining feeds, speeds, tooling, and workholding
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make offset adjustments as needed
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, sketches, or CAD/CAM files for tools and dies
• Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces
• Set up, operate, and disassemble CNC machine tools
• Test completed tools and dies to ensure they meet specifications
• Monitor the feed and speed of the machines
• Operate CNC Lathes, Mills, and VMCs
• Measure, examine, and test completed tools and dies for defects
• Present finished workpieces to production and make modifications if needed
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain compliance with quality standards and work instructions
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
