Job summary

Great River Health is seeking a CNA to provide basic resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, dining, mobility, and safety while following care plans and resident preferences.

A CNA license is required upon hire, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. The role includes shift from 6:30am to 3:00pm with every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• CNA license required upon hire.
• Certified Nursing Assistant Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry required.
• Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter required within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Bathes and dresses residents per care plans.
• Assists with hygiene and daily living activities.
• Prepares residents for appointments and visits.
• Provides end-of-life care and reports changes to the nurse.
• Observes skin condition and notifies nurse of changes.
• Monitors residents and responds to call lights.
• Assists with positioning and mobility and transfers.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of rooms and equipment.
• Documents vital signs and bowel output as directed.
• Supports dining and records meal/fluid intake.
