Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the day shift in a 13-week assignment. You will support the surgical team by preparing rooms and passing instruments, while maintaining strict sterile technique.

The role requires 2+ years of CST experience, NBSTSA certification (CST or CSFA), BLS, EPIC EMR familiarity, and willingness to work weekends/holidays. COVID patient care experience is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• NBSTSA CST or CSFA certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
• Willing to work major holidays and weekends as required by the unit.
• Ability to care for COVID patients is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, medications, and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Handle surgical specimens correctly and ensure proper labeling.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and nursing staff.
