Nexus Neurorecovery Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for the day shift in Conroe, TX. Under the supervision of the Staff Nurse, you will administer medications as prescribed, document administration and outcomes, and monitor patient responses in accordance with policy and regulations.

The role requires completion of a one-year Medication Aide program, a high school diploma, and an active NCSBN certificate. Experience in an Assisted Living setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school degree or equivalent.
• Completion of the one-year certificate program for Medication Aide.
• One year experience in an Assisted Living facility preferred.
• Current Certificate for Medication Aide from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)

Responsabilités

• Administers medications as prescribed by the resident's physician and documents administration, effectiveness, and any adverse actions.
• Records medication administration accurately following policies and federal/state regulations.
• Observes and reports symptoms or side effects related to medications to the Staff Nurse.
• Obtains, records, and reports vital signs during medication administration.
• Maintains infection control practices and follows Universal Precautions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Staff Nurse.
