Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Aide (GA) required.
• Certified Medication Aide (GA) required.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal medications.
• Document medication administration and/or declination following established guidelines.
• Conduct finger stick blood glucose testing following established clinical guidelines.
• Properly store and dispose of medications.
• Provides routine care to the patient, i.e. bathing, grooming, dressing, as needed.
• Report unusual reactions to medications to the resident and health care provider.
• Complete dressing changes of skin alterations as established in guidelines.
• Maintain resident records and communicate with health care providers.
