Job summary

MaineGeneral Health System in Winthrop, ME is seeking a Medical Assistant II - Certified to support the Winthrop Family Medicine team. Work 40 hours with dayshift coverage and no night or weekend rotations, helping visits run smoothly for patients and providers.

You will prepare patients, assist with examinations, collect specimens, document care, and handle registration and scheduling, ensuring a high-quality care experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited school.
• Certified by an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing patients for visits and help providers during examinations.
• Collect specimens and support basic diagnostic procedures as required.
• Document patient care and manage filing, scheduling, registration and data entry.
• Maintain examination areas and keep equipment and medical supplies stocked and clean.
• Communicate observed changes in patient condition to medical staff for assessment.
