Job summary

Villanova University is seeking a Custodian Cabrini Campus to perform general cleaning duties across dormitory, office, and public facilities areas in Radnor, PA. The role supports a Catholic university and is staffed with union wage considerations.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, follow directions, and interact professionally with students, faculty and staff. Schedule is full-time/12 months with first shift hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow both verbal and written directions.
• Ability to interact with customers (students, faculty, administration), co-workers, and supervisors in a positive and helpful manner.
• Must be able to climb ladders, to bend and reach, and to lift (up to 60 lbs.)

Responsibilities

• Pick up and dispose of trash, including recyclable materials.
• Dusts, sweeps, and/or dry mops.
• Wet mops and/or spot mops.
• Operates walk-behind or ride-on floor machine, wet vac, & carpet extractor.
• Cleans glass: All inside areas that can be safely reached.
• All entrance glass, including doors, inside and out.
• Sanitizes washrooms, showers, and toilet facilities (dormitories only).
• Fills all dispensers in restrooms.
• Vacuums and cleans carpets and walk-off mats.
• Washes walls, woodwork, light fixtures, inside of windows, and other glass.
• Removes snow and ice and cleans and/or picks up debris around entrances and fire exits.
• Reports to immediate supervisor or to work control damage and/or malfunction of equipment observed within assigned areas.
