Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a dependable Auction Support Associate to drive vehicles in the auction process and assist customers on sale days. The role emphasizes safe driving, vehicle maneuvering, and adherence to safety protocols.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a pay rate of $15.50 per hour. Overtime may be required based on business needs and auction activity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Auction experience preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing Auction driving rules, rules of the road and defensive driving principles.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate lost vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed; inflate tires and jump start vehicles using a battery box and air tank; notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and actively participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management; overtime may be required.
