Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Driver I - Non-DOT at an assigned Cox location within the USA. The role involves safe vehicle movement, staging and parking on Auction property, and transporting vehicles to and from lots and customer sites.

Flexible schedule with day shifts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm, with an hourly pay rate of $16.30. Primary duties include driving vehicles through auction lanes on sale days, assisting in vehicle operations, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous auction experience preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing Auction driving rules and road safety.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader; move vehicles as necessary.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed.
• Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles if necessary.
• Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify the Service or Gas Truck Driver when the vehicle is out of gas.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and actively participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned; overtime may be required.
