Job summary

Foxconn Assembly, LLC is seeking an AOI Technician for day shift to support PCBA manufacturing. The role involves operating and programming AOI equipment, optimizing inspection programs, and ensuring conformance to IPC standards.

The ideal candidate has electronics manufacturing experience, PCB assembly knowledge, and familiarity with AOI systems, with a focus on defect identification and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating or programming AOI equipment in PCBA/electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with SMT manufacturing processes is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor AOI equipment to inspect PCB assemblies throughout the process.
• Create, modify, optimize, and validate AOI inspection programs for products.
• Perform first-article inspections and verify inspection accuracy before production release.
• Analyze AOI results and optimize parameters to improve detection accuracy.
• Troubleshoot AOI equipment, programs and inspection issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to improve inspection coverage and yield.
• Review PCB assemblies for solder defects and placement issues.
• Maintain AOI equipment and logs; coordinate repairs with vendors.
