Qualifications

  • IPC-A-610 Certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Component Identification training required (resistors, capacitors, diodes, IC packages, polarity markings).

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain AOI equipment according to manufacturing standards and schedules.
  • Select, load, and verify proper inspection programs matching PCBA numbers and revisions.
  • Safely load, index, run, and unload boards while preventing ESD damage.
  • Code or modify basic inspection programs and parameters to optimize performance.
  • Record defects, false calls, and dispositions using the MIS (Aegis).
  • Mentor and train incoming or peer AOI operators on SOPs and inspection standards.
  • Communicate with SMT line operators and line leads to resolve issues.
  • Adhere to OSHA and SDS safety requirements.
