Job summary

Foxconn Assembly, LLC is seeking an AOI Technician for day shift in San Jose, CA. You will operate, program, and maintain AOI equipment to ensure PCB assemblies meet customer specs and IPC standards.

This role works with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality, and Production to identify defects and improve inspection effectiveness. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of AOI experience in electronics manufacturing, familiarity with PCB assembly and SMT processes, and ability to

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years operating or programming AOI equipment in PCBA/electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with PCB assembly processes and SMT basics.
• Familiarity with IPC-610 workmanship standards.
• Ability to interpret Gerber files, BOMs and engineering docs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor AOI equipment to inspect PCB assemblies.
• Create, modify, optimize, and validate AOI inspection programs.
• Perform firstarticle inspections and verify inspection accuracy.
• Analyze AOI results, identify false calls, and optimize parameters.
• Troubleshoot AOI equipment and programs to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Eng and QA to improve yield.
• Review PCB assemblies for solder defects and placement issues.
• Support NPI by developing AOI inspection programs.
• Maintain AOI equipment and coordinate vendor repairs.
• Record inspection data and equipment logs.
