Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Alton, Illinois, is seeking a full-time Ambulatory Nurse to join a growing team. The role delivers direct patient care in the ambulatory setting, collaborates with PCPs and specialists, and supports daily patient management.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of nursing experience, an RN license with BLS, and a nursing diploma or associate's degree. Preference is given to candidates with a BSN and ambulatory care exposure.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience.
• Ambulatory/clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PCPs and Specialists to develop and implement care plans.
• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Ensure protocols and patient assessments follow SOPs and compliance guidelines.
• Document patient assessments and treatments per standards.
• Provide patient education with verbal and written instructions.
• Maintains safety and alertness as this is a safety-sensitive position.
