Job summary

Charles River Center is seeking an Assistant Program Director in Needham, MA to support daily operations within Employment and Day Services. The role supervises staff, ensures ISPs are implemented, and promotes high-quality, person-centered services.

The position collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, families, and community partners to help individuals achieve their goals while ensuring compliance with agency policies. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services and at least two years of relevant experience.
• At least one year of staff supervision experience.
• At least one year of experience in supported employment, job development, and placement.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to authorize a CORI background check and related disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, supervising, and evaluating assigned staff in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, feedback, and support to direct care staff, fostering a positive team culture and promoting high-quality, person-centered services.
• Coordinate staff schedules, including vacations, meetings, and other staffing needs, to ensure adequate coverage.
• Participate in intake and orientation for new individuals; assign caseloads; participate in case conferences and ISP development.
• Collaborate with the clinical department to implement behavioral support plans and address complex behavioral needs.
• Support community inclusion opportunities and train staff to identify and develop community-based options.
