Job description

The Day Reporting Facilitator (Contractor 1099) provides intensive supervision and intervention services for youth exhibiting disruptive or delinquent behavior, with the goal of preventing placement into more restrictive settings such as juvenile detention or residential care. The program emphasizes a cognitive behavior change approach to support youth and families in stabilizing home environments and avoiding removal. The facilitator works to stabilize families, reduce recidivism, and promote long-term behavioral change through a cognitive-behavioral approach.

This role is designed for individuals who can work intensively with at-risk youth, identify underlying needs, and implement effective, real-time strategies to address disruptive or delinquent behavior. Services are delivered in a highly structured environment with an emphasis on consistency, accountability, and empowerment. Facilitators serve as mentors, case managers, and change agents—balancing discipline with empathy to keep youth engaged and on track.

The goal of the program is to act as a stabilizing force for both the child and the family, providing daily check-ins, guidance, and constructive alternatives to detention or out-of-home placement. The position requires strong collaboration with probation, social services, schools, and community-based partners to ensure each youth receives coordinated, individualized support.

Requirements
  • Execute our curriculum in the structured day reporting environment, including behavioral monitoring, counseling, skill-building, and educational support.
  • Deliver interventions rooted in cognitive behavioral principles to promote accountability and behavior change in youth.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, probation officers, and social workers to develop individualized service plans.
  • Monitor youth progress through daily check-ins, group sessions, and case documentation by way of daily and monthly reports.
  • Intervene in crisis situations and connect families with appropriate community resources.
  • Maintain clear records and provide progress updates to referring agencies.
  • Help reduce recidivism and out-of-home placement by addressing the root causes of disruptive behavior.
  • Model and reinforce positive behaviors, routines, and communication.
  • Ensure services are culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strength-based.
