Job summary

Triangle Disability & Autism Service’s Day Program in RTP, Morrisville, NC, is hiring Day Program Staff. The role offers 25–35 hours per week with shifts typically 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday. Compensation is $16.00 per hour.

You will support adults with IDD and autism in a group setting, helping with life skills, arts, movement, and activities while following person-centered plans and ensuring safety and documentation requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Essential functions include supporting participants with life skills, arts, movement, and activities.
• Assist participants in completing tasks aligned to individual goals and abilities.
• Supervise and monitor participants to ensure health and safety.
• Support participants with medical and personal needs, including personal care and medication administration.
• Follow and implement person-centered and behavioral plans.
• Report progress or concerns to the program manager.
• Provide timely and detailed documentation each shift using TDAS’s electronic health record.
• Empower participants to make decisions and practice self-advocacy.
• Remain calm in diverse situations including behavioral and medical contexts.

Responsibilities

• Support participants working on life skills, art and music, exercise and movement and other activities.
• Assist participants in completing tasks and activities based on their individual goals and abilities.
• Supervise and monitor participants to ensure health and safety.
• Support participants with any related medical and personal needs. This may include personal care and medication administration.
• Follow and implement person-centered plans and/or behavioral plans.
• Report progress and/or concerns to program manager.
• Provide timely and detailed documentation each shift using TDAS’s electronic health record.
• Empower participants to make decisions and practice self-advocacy skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to stay calm in a variety of situations (behavioral, medical, etc.)
