Job summary

Sunrise Northeast, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support professional to provide supervision and individualized support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Day Program setting.

The role emphasizes creating a positive learning environment and ensuring safety and compliance across on-site activities. Eligible candidates will have a valid Driver's License with endorsements and at least two years in human services, plus two years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Driver's License with endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two years of experience in the human service field.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and supervision to all staff and individuals in the Day Program setting.
• Creates and maintains a positive, learning, supportive environment for all employees and individuals.
• Ensures accuracy and efficiency in billing and staffing for daily revenue.
• Ensures documentation and implementation of all training, support and behavior programs as per individual plans and regulatory agencies.
• Ensures safety by accounting for all employees and individuals on site, in the van, and on trips.
• Ensures employee compliance with policies and procedures through monitoring and training.
• Provides constructive feedback to employees through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoring.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
