Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking Day Program Professionals to empower individuals with developmental disabilities through person-centered activities and community involvement. You will support goal achievement, skill-building, and meaningful engagement in daily living pursuits.

Responsibilities include leading activities, coaching independence, transportation supervision, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background checks and health screenings.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured activities and community outings.
• Provide direct coaching to build independence in daily living skills.
• Ensure health, safety and dignity of participants during program, outings and transport.
• Support personal care needs and administer medications after training.
• Accurately complete documentation and incident reports in electronic systems.
• Practice safe crisis prevention and intervention strategies.
• Promote inclusion and positive community awareness.
• Provide safe transportation and supervise participants in community settings.
