Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living provides residential-based behavioral health services and supports individuals with IDD, SMI, autism, and high-acuity behaviors.

The Day Program Professional ensures engaging, person-centered experiences that promote independence, community integration and overall well-being, while following policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. You will travel between program locations as needed and participate in annual training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.
• Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
• Ability to use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily activity schedules including community outings, events, and in-house programming (arts, crafts, music, sensory activities).
• Promote community awareness and inclusion through responsible, courteous behavior.
• Ensure health and safety of individuals during program hours, transportation, and community activities.
• Provide personal care and support as needed.
• Assist individuals with personal finances, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Complete and submit incident reports per policy.
• Travel to other program locations as needed.
