Job summary

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services is hiring for a full-time role in Toledo, OH. Training is provided and includes responsibilities such as transporting individuals to and from the Day Program and assisting with community outings.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, MVAs meeting our criteria, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. Paid training and a benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and to climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals between homes and the Day Program using a company van.
• Participate in community outings with transportation and assistance.
• Provide direct care and support to individuals to promote independence, choice and safety.

At ViaQuest Day & Employment Services we provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities within our Day Program. Training for this position is provided in its entirety sono experience is required.

Responsibilities may include:

• Transporting the individuals between their homes and the Day Program through the use of a company, passenger van.
• Participating in community outings through the transportation and assistance of the individuals served.
• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
