Job summary

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services in Ohio is offering a full-time Day Program role. You will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on independence and safety, under the guidance of the Day Program team.

The job requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Paid training is included, and a comprehensive benefits package is available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Able to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and crouch/kneel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to promote independence, choice and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living.
• Transport individuals between homes and Day Program using a company van.
• Participate in community outings with transportation and assistance.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Transporting the individuals between their homes and the Day Program through the use of a company, passenger van.
• Participating in community outings through the transportation and assistance of the individuals served.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GEDrequired
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
