Job summary

RISE is an innovative human services network originally established in 1987 for moving individuals living in institutions into family settings. We are hiring a full-time Lead Direct Support Professional in our Day Program Center located in Tucson, AZ.

The Lead DSP works with people who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, performing supervisory, administrative, transportation, and direct-care duties within the day program setting.

Qualifications

• A desire, interest, and experience in working with people with disabilities or special needs.
• Ability to physically assist people as needed, including lifting and providing support.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented and able to abide by state and organizational rules.
• Specific language abilities may be required beyond English.
