Job summary

People Creating Success in Newbury Park, CA is seeking a Day Program Instructor to support adults with developmental disabilities in a dynamic A-setup. Roles include leading wellness activities, nutrition education, and community outings, with a schedule of 7AM–4PM on weekdays and a $20.60 per hour wage.

Benefits include a $10/month cell phone stipend and health care and PTO upon transition to full-time employment; CPR/First Aid training provided if needed. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you're not certified or need to be recertified)

Responsibilities

• Lead and support participants in health and wellness activities such as exercise classes.
• Coordinate yoga sessions with certified instructors.
• Conduct cooking classes focused on nutrition.
• Provide health education and promote healthy eating habits.
• Participate in community outings using company vans or public transportation.
• Collaborate on a personalized curriculum aligned with each participant's goals.
• Record progress of care plans.

Full & Part-Time: $20.60 / hour

Your Responsibilities

Lead and support participants in health and wellness activities such as:

Exercise classes with certified trainers

Yoga sessions with certified instructors

Cooking Classes focused on nutrition

Health education and healthy eating habits

Participate in community outings using company vans or public transportation

Collaborate with participants on a personalized curriculum tailored to each participants' goal - mindful of academics, socialization, and more

Record keep progress of care plan
