Job summary

Center for Disability Services in New York is seeking Day Program Counselors to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through engaging activities onsite and in the community. The role emphasizes independence, teamwork, and person-centered planning.

We offer on-the-job training, no overnight shifts, and a benefits package with paid holidays and PTO. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• NYS Driver’s License in good standing (some sites require this)

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage independence in all aspects of daily life.
• Collaborate with your team to plan, create and assist with activities and opportunities to meet the needs and interests of the people you support.
• Provide any necessary direct personal care to the people we support.

Compensation Range:

$18.15 - $19.25
