Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Day Program Coordinator for its Adult Services Program in the New York area. The role oversees educational and vocational programming for individuals, supports the day program supervisor, and leads the interdisciplinary team responsible for each client’s plan.

Responsibilities include direct care as needed and assisting leadership with daily operations. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required, with additional education considered

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience with people with developmental disabilities or related field.
• Associate degree or two years of college may substitute 1 year of experience.
• Must be at least 18 and able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee educational and vocational programming for assigned individuals.
• Assist day program supervisor in establishing programming and staffing.
• Act as team leader for interdisciplinary team servicing each individual.
• Provide direct care for assigned individuals as needed.
• Assist Directors/Day Program Administrators with daily program operations.

Education
