Job summary

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services in Ohio is hiring a direct care professional for a full-time, Monday–Friday 1st shift position. You will support individuals with developmental disabilities, promote independence and health/safety, and receive comprehensive on-the-job training.

Requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a driver record meeting ViaQuest criteria; you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform related mobility tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and can kneel, crouch or balance.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – goal is increased independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of life.
• Transporting individuals between homes and Day Program using a company van.
• Participating in community outings with transportation and assistance.
