Job summary

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services in Westerville, OH, is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a Day Program. This full-time role on weekdays provides direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and safety during day activities.

Responsibilities include supervising and assisting individuals, transporting them to the Day Program, and participating in community outings. Training is provided; benefits apply to full-time staff; wage is $17.25/hour.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Fewer than 6 points in the last three years on your motor vehicle record.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities; promote independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of their life.
• Transporting individuals between homes and the Day Program in a company van.
• Participating in community outings with transportation and assistance.
