Job summary

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services in Parma Heights, OH, is hiring for a full-time Direct Care Assistant on the 1st shift. Training is provided; no prior experience required.

You will support individuals with developmental disabilities, assist with daily living, transport to the day program, and participate in community outings. Must be 18+, HS diploma or GED preferred, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Competitive benefits and paid training offered.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age required.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Able to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and to kneel, crouch and balance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living.
• Transport individuals between homes and the Day Program using the company van.
• Participate in community outings with transportation and assistance.
