Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America is seeking a DayPower Washer (Non-CDL) in Dayton, OH. You will operate high-pressure washing equipment to clean buildings, sidewalks, and streets, ensuring safety and attention to detail while maintaining clean, attractive spaces in support of public safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities include route review, timely completion of jobs, safety inspections, and proper reporting. A valid driver's license and minimal driving record are required.

Qualifications

  • Education: None - Ability to Read.
  • Experience: 1 year DOT driving experience preferred.
  • License: Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Safety & Inspection: perform pre/post inspections and ensure safety features before starting.
  • Execution: review routes, complete jobs within the timeframe with quality.
  • Equipment Operation: operate high‑pressure washing equipment safely and efficiently.

Your daily impact:

As our nextPower Washer,you'llbe at the heart of our mission—delivering essential services that help improve public safetyandenhance environmental quality. In this role,you'lloperatehigh-pressure washing equipment to remove dirt, grime, graffiti, and other debris from buildings, sidewalks, streets, and other surfaces.You'lltake ownership of assigned work areas, ensure equipment isoperatedsafely and effectively, and helpmaintainclean, attractive public and private spaces while supporting safety and environmental standards.

  • Safety & Inspection: Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipmentin accordance withcompany standards. Ensure all safety features are operational before beginningroute.
  • Execution: Review assigned routes thoroughly prior to departure. Be proactive in asking clarifying questions if the route or expectations are unclear. Complete assigned jobs within the allottedtimeframewhilemaintainingexpected quality and attention to detail.
  • Equipment Operation: Operateequipment safely and efficiently at all times, following all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and site-specific protocols. Exerciseadditionalcaution during inclement weather or challenging site conditions.
  • Material Handling: Handle materials safely and securely; Apply correct procedures for material types and disposal sites.
  • Reporting: Report any equipment issues, malfunctions, near misses, crashes, or injuries within 30 minutes or as soonas safelypossible. Immediately escalate opportunities, work issues, or safety concerns to management.
  • Professional Communication: Maintaina professional attitude and appearance whilerepresentingthe company on job sites or in public areas. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients when needed.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Accurately complete required logs, manifests, and forms.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving: Respond appropriately to changes and challenges;identifyand solveissues timely.
  • Regular & Predictable Attendance: The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work Environment & Exposure: Constant work outdoors with regular exposure to weather, elements, and traffic; occasional exposure to loud noise, dust/debris, and jarring conditions; limited exposure to chemicals.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and walking/standing; occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling; limited stair climbing and crawling; ability to lift and carry up to 50lbsat varying heights, including overhead.
  • Cognitive & Sensory Requirements: Continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand-eye coordination throughout the workday.
  • Equipment & Tools: Operation of specialized equipment (e.g., mechanical broom sweeper) and use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills.
