Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness and order of common areas in office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial facilities in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires performing routine cleaning tasks, reporting maintenance needs, and assisting the building Engineer as needed.

Responsibilities include spot cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom checks, and ensuring lobby areas remain presentable throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced building environment and follow instructions.
• Show up on time and maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean lobby glass doors and polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe doors, walls, and tops as directed.
• Inspect building exterior and pick up trash daily.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles and check restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby and sweep stairwells and entrances as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas and report any lighting issues.

Job Details

A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors
• Polish chrome on lobby doors
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
• Check restrooms twice daily
• Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
• Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
• Sweep building entrances
• Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
• Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
• Report any solicitors to the Management Office
• Where applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day. Empty all trash receptacles
• Vacuum carpeted floors
• Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion
