CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain clean and orderly common areas in office buildings and other facilities in the Austin area. The role requires diligent attention to cleanliness, safety, and timely execution of daily tasks, including lobby care, restrooms, and trash removal.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety procedures, dependable attendance, and the ability to work with building staff to support operations in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean lobby glass doors and polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice daily.
• Inspect building exterior and pick up trash; empty exterior trash receptacles.
• Clean and mop restrooms; sweep stairwells and landings as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas; police lobby during peak hours.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and dust mop lobby floors twice daily.
• Assist building Engineer daily as needed.

Guided by a Service Heart we are a company Built to Serve with a passion to exceed our customer’s expectations.Job Details:A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Spot clean the lobby glass doorsPolish chrome on lobby doorsVacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a dayInspect the building exterior and pick up any trashClean ashtrays and sand urns on every floorEmpty and clean exterior trash receptaclesCheck restrooms twice dailyVacuum lobby once a day or as neededSweep stairwells and landings as neededRemove all debris from landscaped areas as neededSweep building entrancesClean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall coveringReport any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management OfficeReport any solicitors to the Management OfficeWhere applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day.
