Advanced Building Maintenance Inc in Ann Arbor, MI, is seeking a Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and organization of our facility. You will perform routine cleaning, disinfect high-touch surfaces, and assist with meeting room setups to ensure a welcoming space for visitors and staff.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work with flexibility across day and evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Infection control practices for a sanitary environment.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing.
• Flexibility to work day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of common areas, lobbies, restrooms, and hallways.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and sanitize as needed.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste per guidelines.
• Refill soap, towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Monitor supplies and notify when reordering is required.
• Set up and clean meeting rooms and event spaces.
• Collaborate with maintenance to address cleanliness and safety.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow safety protocols for cleaning chemicals.
• Other tasks requested by the customer and Advanced team.
